Webcam’s working for now…

June 22nd, 2007

Just managed to get the webcam on my Dell XPS M1210 working in Fedora 7 - many thanks to the Gentoo Wiki…

LuvcView in action…

LuvcView also supports still picture capture & AVI capture :D

However, I’m still unable to run the same Logitech camera with any of other apps. Kopete just shows a green box in the webcam placeholder as of now :(

    Hi Gabriel,

I have stock Fedora 7 kernel - I did not compiled my kernel, however I did compiled the required modules.

    I’m running
    Linux Warrior 2.6.21-1.3194.fc7 #1 SMP Wed May 23 22:35:01 EDT 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Check the link I’ve mentioned in the post, search for uvcvideo in that link…
